2022 Milestones and Improvements to MM&S Inc
We have acquired another 60 acre piece of property on our South property line that borders Farrand Rd for more mining of construction materials like CLSII Sand, Topsoil’s, and gravel to run thru our plant to make 6A stone, Pearock, Mason Sand, 2NS Sand, Birdseye etc. We rebuilt our Dredge pump with new impeller, case, and inner and outer lining plates. We also rebuilt our cutter head and pipe line. We also rebuilt our Hyundai bucket by installing and machining new bushings, bosses, and pins along with new seals and repainted. We also in late 2022 purchased another well-maintained Terex 35 ton haul truck. We also during the winter months going into spring of 2023 repainted our Ford #10 Louisville tractor with new lettering and pinstriping on it, also rebuilt our set of Fruehauf Gravel train trailers with new paint also and we did the same to our Dorsey Gravel train trailers. We also in 2022 purchased a new Gorman Rupp 200 HP, 2500 gallon a minute fresh water pump for our Sand and Gravel wash plant. Another accomplishment we did was my brother Scott finished our 6 Silos by welding 24 new legs on them and they will be installed when we pour the concrete foundations for them in the spring, this will along with our Sand dyer allow us to Fractionate sand and separate the grain sizes into the silos for blending back example sand blasting sand and foundry sand etc. some other deeds we done in 2022 we acquired approximately 3000 to 4000 landscape timbers 4’ long and we gave them away FREE to our local residents. We also built our new parts and filter rooms storage shelves and racks. Along with pouring a 30 X 40 concrete slab for power washing on. These were some major improvements and advancements in growing our company at both locations (4253 Otter Lake Rd Otter Lake MI 48464) and (13295 N State Rd (M-15) Otisville MI 48463).
